Electric Heaters

Electric heaters:

Storage heaters / smart storage heaters

A.B Electrical are experts in supplying and installing smart and standard storage heaters. Our superb range gives you maximum comfort, total control and savings of up to 27% off your heating bill.

You can benefit from huge savings off your energy bill when switching to a smart storage heater. Our products take advantage of low rate, off peak electricity – like traditional storage heaters – but crucially can release the stored heat at preset times and temperatures. This is possible because the stored heat (the bricks) are encased in a highly insulated compartment to prevent heat loss.

A sophisticated self-learning algorithm is able to decide on how long to charge the storage heater for depending on your lifestyle, weather conditions and your preset times and temperatures.

There is also an energy saving boost option for unexpected heat demands. This is particularly useful in summer months when you don’t require heat during the day, but may need heat for a couple of hours late evening when the temperature can drop.

We’re here to help. Call or email your questions regarding our smart storage heaters or standard storage heaters.

Benefits of our smart storage heaters:

Smart storage heaters are up to 27% cheaper to run than a standard storage heater.

They are 47% cheaper to run than an electric convector heater.
State-of-the-art compact design (no deeper than a double wet radiator).
Easy to control and programme – set different times and temperatures for different rooms.

Boost option available for unexpected heat demands, particularly for those cold winter nights.

10-year warranty for complete peace of mind.
BEAB approved means they will improve the energy efficient rating of your property – very useful for landlords and social housing.

Electric radiators and panel heaters:

A.B Electrical are experts in supplying and installing panel and electric radiators. Please call or email for some advice on you’re requirements.

What are electric radiators?

Electric radiators work in a similar way to radiators of gas central heating systems. They contain a thermodynamic fluid, usually oil, that facilitates the transfer of the heat energy produced by electricity.

The fluid expands and the radiator releases the heat to the surrounding air. Radiant heat (or radiation) warms people and objects within its vicinity rather than the air surrounding them. Radiant heat (or radiation) warms people and objects within its vicinity rather than the air surrounding them.

What are electric panel heaters?

Unlike radiators, which heat via a combination of convection and radiation, a panel heater solely uses convection. Convection works by warming the air above the heater, which then rises and displaces the cooler air above it, creating an air current which eventually distributes hot air throughout the room. Convective heating (or convection) involves transferring heat from one place to another via the movement of gases or liquids, typically air or water.

The main difference between panel heaters and electric heaters is that the panel heater produce heat only through convection (typically using hot elements and a fan to blow hot air around the room) whereas the latter use a combination of radiated and convective heat.
